Initial visit and design consultation — brainstorming and problem-solving, 1 hour mininum.

Quick design sketch — for very small projects you will install yourself, an on-the-spot design and sketch is sometimes enough. 

Meetings — discussion of needs, possibilities, materials.

Site study — analysis of site assets and liabilities, soil, microclimate, exposure, house style, neighborhood ambience, measurements.

Conceptual planning — sketches of layout options and ideas.

Layout — plan to scale showing location of all important features to be installed.

Planting plan — location, quantity, size, and name of every plant.

Custom designs — for arbors, fountains, and other landscape features.

Plan notes — so the project comes out the way you want.

Consultation during installation — visit job site, answer design-related questions, help client communicate with contractor and achieve aesthetic goals for project.

Horticultural advice — when and how to prune, improve soil, etc.

Gardener training — in English or Spanish.

If a client wishes and the landscaping project is suitable, Fran may offer a design contract at a fixed price.
